Information & Choice

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information webXcode collects, why it is used, which service providers may receive it, and how people can exercise their rights.

webXcode Privacy

Clear information about personal data and optional analytics.

webXcode aims to collect only the information reasonably needed to respond to enquiries, deliver projects, provide support and understand website use where analytics permission has been granted.

01

Who Is Responsible

webXcode is the responsible party for personal information processed through this website and its direct client communications. Privacy enquiries may be sent to webxcodes@gmail.com.

02

Information Collected

Information may include a person’s name, email address, optional telephone number, organisation, requested service, budget range, preferred timing, project brief, links supplied with an enquiry, correspondence, account or billing details for active clients, and technical information generated when analytics is permitted.

03

How Information Is Collected

Information is collected when a person submits the enquiry form, communicates by email, WhatsApp or another agreed channel, becomes a client, requests support, or voluntarily allows analytics through the website privacy control.

04

Purposes of Processing

Personal information is used to assess and respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, perform contracts, deliver and support projects, communicate operational information, process lawful payments, keep appropriate records, secure services and comply with legal obligations. Information is not used for unrelated direct marketing without a lawful basis or required consent.

05

Service Providers & Cross-Border Processing

The contact form is processed through Formspree. Hosting, email, Firebase, Google services, payment providers or other approved project tools may process information on webXcode’s behalf. Some providers operate outside South Africa. webXcode selects established providers and limits information shared to what is reasonably required for the service.

06

Analytics, Cookies & Preferences

Google Analytics is optional and does not load until a visitor selects “Accept analytics.” Where permission is granted, webXcode may measure page visits, completed enquiry forms, clicks on project-enquiry buttons, and clicks used to contact webXcode through WhatsApp or email. This helps assess which pages and contact routes are useful. The analytics events do not intentionally include a visitor’s name, email address, telephone number or project message. Advertising storage and advertising-personalisation signals remain disabled. A small essential browser-storage entry remembers the visitor’s privacy preference. The choice can be changed at any time through the “Privacy settings” control in the footer.

07

Retention

Enquiry information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, follow up, establish a client relationship, resolve a dispute or meet legal and accounting requirements. Unsuccessful or inactive enquiry data is periodically reviewed and may be deleted when there is no continuing business or legal need.

08

Security

Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used to protect personal information, including restricted administration access, secure hosting configuration and limited sharing. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Where a qualifying security compromise occurs, required notifications will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

09

Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, a person may ask whether webXcode holds their personal information and may request access, correction or deletion, object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing depends on consent, or raise a complaint.

  • Request confirmation and access.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request deletion where retention is no longer justified.
  • Object to processing in circumstances recognised by law.
  • Withdraw optional analytics consent at any time.
10

Direct Marketing

Submitting a project enquiry does not automatically subscribe a person to promotional marketing. Where marketing messages are introduced, webXcode will use an appropriate lawful basis, provide the required notice and include a practical way to opt out.

11

Children’s Information

This website is intended for business and organisational enquiries and is not designed to collect personal information directly from children. A parent, guardian or authorised organisation should make any enquiry involving a child’s information.

12

Contact, Complaints & Updates

Privacy requests should be sent to webxcodes@gmail.com. A person may also lodge a complaint with South Africa’s Information Regulator. This policy may be updated when services, providers or legal obligations change; the current version will remain published on this page.

Policy Status

This Privacy Policy was last updated on 29 July 2026. It reflects the website and service providers currently described, but it is not a substitute for independent South African legal advice as the business and data-processing activities expand.
